I did a tour with 3rd Recon in 1968. I went through Recon
School at Pendleton with Theodore Christ and a guy named Farris – we were
all E-4s at the time. When we hit Da Nang in December ’68, those two went
to 1st recon and I went to 3rd. I checked your membership roster and they do not
appear. Do you have any record of them?
Thanks,
Mike

In your correspondence with Marine Reconners, will you inquire
if anyone knows the whereabouts of GySgt Paul C. Whitlock, USMC (Ret)? Last known
address, Tucson, AZ. He "broke in" with 2nd Recon Bn at CLNC in '64. Was with
Force Recon, et al, in 'Nam in '66-67. I looked him up during our second tours
there, when he & an Aussie MSgt were Advisors to an ARVN Bn, I believe in II Corps.
When he retired, he & first wife, Kaye, went to Kearny, AZ. He was with a MJROTC
unit, then divorced & went with Kennicott Copper Corp. I visitied with him & second
wife, Carol, in Tucson in '88, & they came through Nashville in the early-to-mid
'90's enroute to a Force Recon Convention in VA. Paul & I sort of "grew up" together
in the Corps, but I've lost contact with him & can't find anything on the internet.
Any assistance in locating him (if still living) will be greatly appreciated.
