For members of
1st Force Recon Company. The Command Chronology
for the Company for the period October 1965
through December 1969 is at:
http://www.clemson.edu/caah/history/facultypages/EdMoise/usmc.html
The chronology
lists the main events taken from reports from
the field. September, October and November 1968
are missing from the file. If anyone knows where
I can find the Command Chronology for those
months, please let me know. I will check with
1st Force Recon Co. also.

My Step-Father,Mark
Aguirre,recently passed away unexpectantly.
He was First Force Recon in Vietnam. He enlisted
in '65 and trained in Del Mar. I believe he
was in country in '66 and at some point was
in Okinawa. He was at Camp Merrill at some point
as well. This is all the info I have been able
to piece
together. He did not talk of the war at all, understandibly. He
agreed to
sit down and talk to me about it but passed
before he could. He was a
great man, joining the sheriffs dept. and rising
to captain before he
retired a year ago. I have been researching
Force Recon and am humbled
by the bravery of these soldiers, past and present.
I would like very
much to cooresponde to anybody who served with
Mark to round out my
knowledge of this great man and, always, a proud
Marine.
Thank You
